The Gloves project was born very simply with the goal of providing help to children around the world whose circumstances are less favorable than those of children born in technologically, socially, and civilly more developed countries.

Our Mission
Its fundamental purpose is to find —through constant research— the opportunity to distinguish itself from the traditional, simplistic, and somewhat diminishing view of “volunteering and charity work.” The association aims to give this concept a younger and fresher image, conveying the message that philanthropy, and more specifically helping others, is something inherent to human nature—rooted in us since the beginning of time.
Moreover, the idea of helping and supporting others is meant to be presented as an aspect inseparably linked to “intellect.” To help and support is, in fact, “the first intelligent form of investment” a human being can make; by helping others, one cultivates the soil on which we all will walk tomorrow—and on which our children will one day walk as well.
The association also seeks to highlight another often overlooked aspect of this “intelligence of charity”: the benefit received by the person who helps. Doing good generates a sense of well-being not only for those who are helped but also for those who initiated the action. Helping is an act that “interconnects” the self with other selves, with nature, and with the spiritual sphere, thus creating a circular flow of causes and effects. It is therefore an act that improves both the individual and the community, as well as nature, our shared home.

Our Vision
The association’s main goal is to help and support the youngest members of society through three main areas of action:
Economic: building homes, improving sanitation systems, creating community spaces for social and collective activities, and providing tools and resources to promote community independence.
Cultural: building schools to educate and teach essential languages—such as English—so that both children and adults can integrate into an increasingly global society and eventually become independent in relating to the outside world.
Social: creating communities led by volunteers from religious institutions that can interconnect and collaborate for mutual assistance, ensuring and improving support for the most disadvantaged.
An important objective will be to bring young people closer to realities and situations completely different from their own ordinary environment. It will therefore be essential to offer regular opportunities for them to travel, creating real cultural exchanges—fostering mutual support between those from the “wealthier West” and those from the “less wealthy world.” This will, hopefully, make charity work more attractive and help deeply root many values into people’s inner lives.
The purpose of gLOVEs is therefore to give philanthropy a more appealing and inspiring image—one that attracts young people by showing them the interesting, intelligent, and fundamental nature of helping others.
The foundation will raise the necessary funds for these objectives through:
– Charity auctions, including items innovatively created through recycling.
– Awareness campaigns through conferences, meetings, and presentations; making intelligent use of social media, advertising, and national and international media.
– A project to create a stable cooperative aimed at developing a circular economy model that can generate sustainable, independent income.
